1967-1972 Chevy C10 or GMC K1500 Pro1 4×4 Chassis.
We are pleased to to introduce the new Total Cost Involved Chevy K10 / GMC K1500 pickup truck Pro1 chassis that is as capable off-road as on-road. TCI’s new Chevy 1967-1972 4×4 K10 Pickup Truck Pro 1 4-link chassis is not only strong but multi-functional and is built to be a direct replacement for worn or rusted K10 or K1500 chassis with the potential to use up to 37” tall tires fit with superior full turning radius, travel, and articulation.
TCI begin with 10 laser cut frame pieces of U.S. made 134w steel that creates a compact, torsionally rigid and very strong Triple Rail Frame rail that is called a Boxed Beam System. Essentially, there are 3 vertical frame pieces in each rail (outer, inner and down the middle). Frame is fully fixture welded with the outside edges being ground smooth. Front and rear crossmembers are added plus a completely new designed center section to work around the driver-side output transfer case. The engineers widened the rails ahead of the cab and narrowed them behind the cab. This allows more room for headers and steering components, up front while outback, this allowed them to mount the shocks outside the frame rails which maximizes roll stiffness and still have plenty of room for 37″x12″ tires. The center section and driveshaft loop is comprised of 4 pieces of 1”x2” .120w rectangle tubing & 4 large .1875″ gusset plates adding even more rigidity. The center section design easily accommodates 3” round tube exhaust. The chassis is built around late model LS/LT engine/trans platforms using a driver-side output Atlas Transfer Case (you supply engine/trans and transfer case).
Maximized length link bars provide minimal wheelbase change throughout travel and have the added benefit of limiting roll steer. The coilover angle is close to vertical to keep the motion ratio close to 1:1 and mounts as wide as possible for maximum roll control. TCI partnered with RockJock by John Currie for readily available replacement steering components that includes a Borgeson steering box, RockJock high steer outer knuckles, forged tie rods, and front hubs based on the Jeep JL (2018-present) platform. Crucial steering angles and tie rod lengths were carefully designed to keep the bump steer in check and minimize lateral movement
Front & rear differentials are provided by Currie designed to withstand the abuses of big tires and big horsepower. High Pinion Currie 44 front and High Pinion Currie 60 axles using heavy duty axle tubes, yokes, chromoly axles, & U-joints provide the strength equal to the new chassis. All cab, floor, core support, engine, transmission, transfer case, and bumper mounts are included.
FREIGHT IS EXTRA! Freight will be quoted/charged when the chassis is ready to ship!!
